When we first put Oscar in Nursery we were very nervous about leaving him with a bunch of strangers, they arranged a couple of sessions with him first so that he and us would feel more comfortable leaving him. From the first day we met the staff, we knew that he would be well looked after, he was appointed a key worker 'Kate' who has been amazing with Oscar. All the staff make you feel that your child is one in a million, and that is a real quality as a team. Oscar loves Nursery, and has played a huge part in his development. Kate has been great with us also, when you have children you do not automatically know what to do, and she has gave us some great advice when we have needed a little guidance.
Newtown Road Nursery is a great place to have your child looked after, it has a warm, friendly, fun and relaxed atmosphere, and we as parents would highly recommend it, they are 'outstanding'.

When I first came to look around Newtown Road Nursery I was made to feel so welcome and I knew that this was the right place for my little girl to go. I instantly noticed how involved the staff were with the children. I also noticed the lovely smiles on the children's faces and the wide range of activities they had access to. The rooms were bright and well equipped and the outside area had lots of different things for the children to do.
My little girl started nursery when she was just 7 and a half months old and I was very anxious about leaving her. When we came for her first settling in session and to meet her key worker we were asked lots of questions to help the staff get to know my little girl. They asked about her routines so that they could follow them and about what she enjoyed doing and playing with. During her settling in time she formed a quick bond with a member of staff and this was acknowledged by the nursery staff and her key worker was changed. This showed me that the nursery put the children first and do what they think is right for each individual child.
My little girl has been at Newtown Road Nursery for 18 months now and she absolutely loves it. She is really excited to go and comes home full of life talking about all of the things that she has been doing. She has been given so many opportunities to do different activities and no two days are the same. I feel that all of the staff have taken the time to get to know my little girl and that her key worker knows her inside out.
At the end of each session I am told about her day; what she has been doing, what she has had to eat, if she has had a sleep and about her toileting. Her key worker makes the time to talk to me and I never feel like I just have to pick her up and leave. I am kept fully informed of her progress through chats with her key worker at the end of sessions, through her diary which comes home and through parents evenings. I am told what nursery are working on with her and given ideas for things to try at home.
With my job I have often needed to have extra sessions at very short notice and Rachel has always done what she can to accommodate this.
I leave my little girl at nursery knowing she will be really well looked after, will be well fed with healthy snacks and meals and will be given lots of fantastic opportunities and it is for this reason that I will be sending my second child to the nursery. I cannot fault the nursery and their staff and the fact that my little girl loves going so much tells me it is the best place for her to be.

Both my boys enjoy going to Newtown road nursery. They have met lots of new friends. Staff are enthusiastic and motivated with children & are always on hand to chat to you about your child. I love reading the menu to boys before we go in & dinner always goes down well. The children clean their teeth after lunch which I love being a dental nurse! Would highly recommend Newtown Road Nursery to anyone looking for a personal touch to your child care.
